Emercy (pronounced "em-er-see") is actually
a unique word that comes from the acronym MRC, which
stands for "Missionary
Resource Center." Our goal at Emercy
is to be an encouragement to Christian missions
in countries all over the globe. For anyone who has
recognized the call of Matthew 28:18, Emercy will
be there to provide resources, care, support, and
encouragement.

Emercy is operated on a daily basis by its volunteer staff.
Each quarter, the board of directors meets to discuss
Emercy's operations, financial details, and
future. The Board is composed of various members
of the community, all of whom are deeply involved
with God, their family, their church, and the community.
Since Emercy is an inter-denominational organization,
the board members have been chosen from various
denominations, and all bring diverse talents and
abilities to the table.

To pursue its mission, Emercy has embarked on
various projects and created a number of initiatives
that will serve and support missions workers and
organizations. Listed below is an overview of each
of these services. For more details, please click
the service name or view our 'Services'
page.

As Aaron held up Moses' arm to defeat the Amelekites
in Exodus 17, Emercy operates with the same
purpose for many missionaries
from organizations spanning the globe. We provide
services such as research, logistics and consulting,
short term teams, interim position
filling, and more. If you are a missionary, please contact
us to find out
more about how we can help.

The Missionary Job board is an online service (www.missionaryjobs.com)
that provides missionaries and organizations
a means to recruit workers, as well as a forum
for missionaries
to find work that matches their vision and needs.

The Online MRC, www.missionaryresources.org,
is a website provided by Emercy, allowing missionaries
to find quick answers to common questions, as
well as facilitating research of in-depth
subjects such as renewable
energy or church planting resources. The online
MRC is provided as a supplement to Emercy's Missionary
Resources Handbook that is scheduled for release
in Fall 2003.

The Handbook is scheduled for release in Fall 2003 and will address a plethora
of relevant topics for missionaries. Much of this information will be available
free from the website, although the print version will be more in-depth and
will serve well in areas with limited internet access.

Each year, Emercy partners with Palmas de Mamre
in Costa Rica to offer a missionary training
school (www.missionarytraining.net). Currently
the schools are limited to 20 students and last
for 2 months.
Attendees will learn how to teach, preach, perform
medical care, plant churches, and much more.
Visit the website for more details.

Emercy operates a resources warehouse to store
goods, sort them, and ship them to areas
in need. Each year Emercy
operates a fundraiser garage sale and sends the
remaining clothes to the warehouse, where they
are shipped
to the needy in Africa, Asia, South and Central
America. Missionaries registered with Emercy's
A2M project
can request a free tour and take any goods they
wish, free of charge. Common goods include medicines,
tracts,
videos, Bibles, and communications equipment.

Emercy operates on funds that arrive from various sources. It receives its
principal funding as follows:
• Vending Machines - Emercy operates small vending machines that serve
candy and gum. These are placed in businesses that
have expressed a desire to support Emercy's operations.
• Donations - Emercy receives contributions
from many generous groups, both personal and corporate.
• Emercy_Web - Emercy_Web is a for-profit partnering organization that
offers web design services. Many of the profits from Emercy_Web are used to fund
Emercy's non-profit activities.
