As a part of our on-going support for missionaries and the churches that support them, Emercy has begun offering seminars at its offices in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Read on below to find out more about each class.

	Perspectives on The World Christian Movement Emercy hosts Perspectives on the World Christian Movement in the Tuscaloosa, AL area. 50% Scholarships are available. No classes are currently scheduled.
Missions Leadership Training Workshop Taught by Dr. Charles Davis and Joshua Jones Seminar Date: TBD This weekend seminar is a combination of training, networking, and equipping. Below you will find an overview of the various events taking place: Class 1: Our God is a Missionary God, taught by Charles Davis. In this introductory class, Dr. Davis will teach the biblical basis for world missions. Class 2: Church Missions Mobilization: This class will cover a variety of practical tools and methods for mobilizing your church for missions. Classes 3 & 4: Short Term Missions: These classes will cover everything you need to get started sending short term missions teams from your church. Class 3 will look at the strategic aspectsof short-term missions while Class 4 will delve into the practical aspects. Roundtable Discussion: Our weekend seminar will end with a Q&A time allowing participants to talk with our speakers on a number of topics. Windows: We will also allow a number of organizations to present briefly their ministry as a means to connect with churches. We have invited YWAM, Wycliffe, OM, Globe, and a few other organizations. 	People Raising by Bill Dillon (No registration fee required) Four two-hour classes with video instruction and group discussion with role-playing hosted by Emercy's volunteer staff. Study guides are available for purchase.

Team Leader Training Workshop Taught by Joshua Jones Next Class: TBD Class 1: Purpose-Driven Short-Term Teams This class will provide an overview of Short-Term Missions (STMs) and will show you how to plan your church’s outreach as part of a comprehensive missions strategy. Class 2: Logistics In this class we’ll cover all of the nuts and bolts of a short-term outreach. Among other topics, we’ll cover finances, team meetings, and recruitment. Class 3: Logistics & Administration Continuing from class 2, we’ll examine team member applications, handbooks, and how to develop a prayer calendar Class 4: Team Leadership In this last session we will look at the responsibilities that come with leading a short-term outreach. We will address safety concerns, devotions, de-briefing, parental concerns, and the top ten challenges most leaders face. Each class will be concluded with a round-table discussion and Q&A time.
